What is Yale SOM Net Impact?

SOM Net Impact is a club that connects and inspires MBA students who are committed to integrating business success and social impact.

We fulfill our mission by fostering a community of likeminded students, faculty and alumni, educating that community on current topics and events related to social impact, and advocating for curriculum, admissions and career development support.

SOM Net Impact provides the following to our community:

Register for National Net Impact Membership
If you're interested in being involved in Net Impact at SOM, we encourage you to join the national organization. Annual membership dues are only $25 and the benefits are many, including a great job board, reduced conference registration fees, networking opportunities and interesting publications. 2008 Net Impact Annual Conference
The 2008 Annual Net Impact Conference will take place in Philadelphia, PA on November 13-15. The Conference includes keynote speakers, panel discussions, networking opportunities, case competitions, debates and more. This year's conference focuses on “The Sustainable Advantage: Creating Social and Environmental Value", with curriculum on: CSR, energy and environment, international development, social impact finance, and social entrepreneurship. Yale SOM Net Impact Awarded Honorable Mention at 2007 National Net Impact Conference!


At the 2007 Net Impact Conference held in Nashville, Yale SOM earned an honorable mention for Chapter of the Year and had the highest attendance of all business schools. It was another strong showing for SOM after winning runner-up last year and top honors the year before.

Yale SOM students have compiled guides for students interested in a variety of social enterprise areas. Each Inside Scoop guide includes information about relevant electives, associated faculty, current students, and alumni, relevant organizations recruiting through the Career Development Office, resources in the Yale and New Haven communities, and online resources.

Summer Happy Hours - Nationwide
Keep your eyes open for emails from Net Impact National about Happy Hours that will be taking place in 15+ cities across the country. These events will be a great opportunity to meet other business school students who are also interning in your summer cities, as well as professional Net Impact members. Current plans include Happy Hours sometime between June 16-27 in cities such as New York, Boston, San Francisco, Washington, Chicago, LA, and beyond.
