CT Growth Network - New Haven Innovators Luncheon - Jan 2007 : Where: Donaldson Commons, Yale SOM, New Haven When: 01/30/2007, 12:00-1:30 PM. This month we’re going to continue the theme of how to attract technologists. We’ll discuss what is important to a scientist, engineer, and entrepreneur in terms of where they might choose to live or start a company. We’ll also have more time for meeting the other attendees and a chance for anyone working on cool new technology to share a bit about what they’re doing. 2007 Annual Venture Capital Showcase - $10 BILLION IN VENTURE CAPITAL AVAILABLE FOR CONNECTICUT BUSINESSES : Thursday, January 25, 4:30 to 7:00 p.m, Stamford Marriott, Stamford, CT. The Connecticut Venture Group will hold its 2007 Annual Venture Capital Showcase Thursday, January 25th at the Stamford Marriott from 4:30 to 7:00pm. This year boasts over $10 billion in venture capital dollars available for business investment. This will be the largest showcase in CVG history with over 50 venture capitalists from Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts participating and over 200 participants already registered to attend. The event will feature presentations by the Venture Capital, Private Equity and Buy-Out Funds active in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. Attendees will include other VC firms, angel investors, company CEOs and their advisers. This event will enable entrepreneurs who are seeking capital to learn what each VC firm is looking for in a business investment. The event will start at 4:30 with a networking reception. The formal program will begin at 5:30 and continue for one hour. Entrepreneurs who are seeking expansion funding now or in the near future are invited to attend.The showcase is free to CVG members and $60 for non-members.
