Enter the Y2K Executive Summary Competition Submission Deadline: Monday, December 18th @ 5 AM. Want to enter the Y50K? Have a business idea? Just playing around with a concept? Write a 2-3 page executive summary by yourself or with a team, enter the Y2K, and get valuable feedback from judges as well as $2,400 in total cash prizes. Although it is open to anyone on a team with a Yale connection, the Y2K is perfect for undergraduates with little business experience. Questions? Email marty.rod@yale.edu.

IT Entrepreneurship Initiative at Yale Office of Cooperative Research : If anyone is interested in helping the Yale Office of Cooperative Research plan their new IT Entrepreneurship Initiative at Yale, come to their planning event on Wednesday, December 13th. YES-Microsoft Business Brainstorming Contest : Monday, Dec 11th @ 7:00 pm; Yale Art Gallery Room 206. Don't have an idea for the Y2K yet? Think you can be the next big thing in Web 2.0? (or maybe start Web 3.0?) so what's going on? Participants will form impromptu teams and have 30 minutes to come up with a business idea during the event. Teams will then present their idea to a panel of special guest judges who will select the grandprize winner! The team with the best technology-related idea will receive a Microsoft-sponsored grandprize of $250 in gift certificates and a copy of MSMoney to all the team members. Also, cool raffle prizes will be provided by Microsoft. However, we welcome those with no previous experience in technology or tech business. We will define "technology" rather broadly, so don't fret if you think a server crash has something to do with bad service at a restaurant. Food and refreshments will be provided. To get to Rm. 206 of the Art Gallery, come under the Street Hall bridge over High Street (at the corner of High and Chapel) and a YES member will show you in.
