Steve Reinemund is Chairman of the Board of PepsiCo. Prior to assuming his current position on October 1, 2006, Steve served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive of PepsiCo since 2001.

PepsiCo ranks among the world’s largest convenient food and beverage companies, with 2005 revenues approaching $33 billion. Its businesses include Frito-Lay, Pepsi-Cola, Tropicana, Gatorade and Quaker Foods.

PepsiCo’s global portfolio includes an assortment of popular foods and beverages spanning consumer’s interests throughout the day and meeting their varied lifestyle needs. PepsiCo’s roster of well known products -- including 17 different billion-dollar brands -- ranges from juices, ready-to-drink teas and coffees, breakfast bars and cereals to carbonated and non-carbonated beverages, snacks, sports drinks and meal accompanying-side dishes.

Steve, a 22-year PepsiCo veteran, led the corporation from 2001 to 2006, During that period, PepsiCo’s revenues increased by more than $9 billion, net income increased by 70%, earnings per share increased by 80%, its annual dividend doubled and the company’s market capitalization surpassed $100 billion. In addition to the growth of the company, Steve’s legacy includes a commitment to health and wellness, diversity and inclusion and values-based leadership.

Prior to becoming Chairman and CEO in May 2001, Steve served as PepsiCo’s President and Chief Operating Officer. From 1996 to 1999, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Frito-Lay’s worldwide operations, and from 1992 to 1996 he led the company’s North American snack division. Steve started his career with PepsiCo in 1984 at the Pizza Hut division (now part of YUM! Restaurants), serving as Chief Executive Officer from 1986 until 1992.

Steve joined the board of directors of PepsiCo in 1996. He is also a member of the board of directors of Johnson & Johnson.

His current community service includes serving as chairman of the National Minority Supplier Development Council. He is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Yale Center for Faith and Culture. Previous community service includes The Salvation Army (1990 to 1999), where he served as chairman of the National Advisory Board (1996 to 1999); and The National Council of La Raza (1992-2001), where he was chairman of its Corporate Board of Advisors (1992-1996).

Steve received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Virginia (1978). He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (1970), and served five years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Steve and his wife, Gail, have been married for over 30 years and have four children.
