Ellen Iskenderian President
and CEO, Women’s World Banking Ms. Iskenderian became President
and Chief Executive Officer of Women's World Banking (WWB) in September 2006.
Ms.Iskenderian, who has held numerous leadership positions at the
International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group (IFC), brings to
WWB over twenty years of experience in building financial systems globally,
in particular in Asia, Latin America and Central and Ms. Iskenderian’s
leadership positions at the IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank and
the largest investor in emerging markets worldwide, included Director of
Partnership Development, Director of Global Financial Markets Portfolio and
Director of the South Asia Regional Department. She also sits on the boards
of directors of the National Bank of Commerce in WWB is a global
not-for-profit financial institution devoted to increasing poor women’s
economic access, participation and power. Founded in 1979, WWB is at the forefront
