Claire Gaudiani
Professor
at The George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising at New York University
Claire Gaudiani is currently
a Professor at The George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and
Fundraising at New York University teaching courses on America's Philanthropic History
and Its Lessons for Today's Fundraisers and The Role of Women in
Philanthropy. From 2001 to 2004, Dr. Gaudiani was a Senior Research
Scholar at the Yale
University Law
School where she
completed The
Greater Good, her provocative documentation of the role of philanthropy
in American economic prosperity. Her strategic leadership as President
of Connecticut College was recognized by the publication of a Connecticut College case study by the Harvard
School of Education. Her accomplishments include her appointment as a 50th
Anniversary Fulbright Fellow to Morocco,
her receipt of ten honorary doctoral degrees, invitations for providing
Congressional testimony on numerous occasions, and her election in 1999 to
the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
