2009 THAILAND >> PROJECTS

THAI PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS SOUGHT FOR SPRING 2009

Organizations that wish to participate in GSE are requested to submit proposals describing a consulting project that will address a business or strategic challenge the organization faces.  GSE will select 5-6 client organizations in or around Bangkok to be matched with teams of 4-5 students chosen through a competitive application process.  The teams will spend the spring of 2009 working with the client organizations to complete the proposed deliverables and in March will travel to Thailand for one week of intensive, on-site work.  Criteria for client selection will include:

- A clearly defined project that will effectively utilize MBA students who have expertise in marketing, finance, accounting, operations, and strategy.

- Documented and detailed project specifications and expectations, including deliverables, prior to starting consulting work.
- A senior-level staff person in the organization able to coordinate and support the project.

- At least one staff member who is able to conduct business in English.

- Office space for a team of 4-5 students during the week of on-site consultation, including internet and local phone access.

- Minimal housing support during the on-site visit to help defray some of the costs of travel.

Proposals should be emailed to sarah.lowery@yale.edu by November 21, 2008.  The Request for Proposals can be downloaded here.
